Some "Real" Hip Hop

I'm not a fan of Lil Wayne, Cash Money Records, Gucci Mayne, or anything of that sort. I think that garbage poisons the minds of people. They rap all about the wrong things. In my opinion, here's some good shit:

Common Market and Blue Scholars are some of the best out there at this time for some hip hop. It stuns me how these guys don't make it on the radio, but Lil Wayne will. They make jams to make you think. I think some listeners will be like "Wow, I'm actually thinking right now about this message, I don't do that with Lil Wayne". Dumbing down our society. How sad. Thoughts?

It's because the poor out number the rich. The machine doesn't want the likes immortal technique on the radio and possibly opening people's eyes.

I really get a laugh out of the "bling" fascination. You know who picked those diamonds right?

  9. It's about time that some positive rap came about again. I remember the days of MC Hammer, Fresh Prince, Run DMC...then it just went to crap. I'm happy there's some positive stuff coming out again. Sick of the negative

  11. No idea how the R&B/hip hop artists are so popular. The music isn't intricate at all and half the lyrics are like "i want to fuck every girl in the world" or about getting drunk

That being said, I've heard it enough at parties that I almost like some of the songs. I still think it's stupid, and I am amazed how ghetto dudes can get so rich off marketing stuff like that.

  15. I'm completely with you on this. I'm generally not a fan of hip-hop, solely for that reason. However there have been some pieces that I found that I loved because it actually had a message and imagery and made you think.

I can now proudly say that I have a couple more to add to my list. Thanks.
